Advantages and features of work for FiTreM filters
No chemicals are used in the filtering process. The filter is chemically neutral.
The mineral and salt structure of the filtered water does not vary.
The FiTreM filter guarantees 100 % protection against bacteria. The filter, thanks to 0.4 micron (or 0.2 micron) pore size, can remove all fecal and colibacteria, giardia, cryptosporidium and cysts.
During the filtration the filtered particles stay on the surface of the track membrane. These particles gradually decrease the water flow of the FiTreM filter, but not efficiency of a filtration is reduced.
Fall of productivity in 2 - 3 times specify necessity of washing of the filter. It is therefore necessary to clean the FiTreM filter regularly, depending on the quality of the water.
After regeneration (washing) the efficiency of a filtration is restored on 95 %.

Technical specifications and directions for use
The technology of track membranes production consists of the irradiation of polymer films by accelerated heavy ions forming latent tracks followed by a physical-chemical processing.
The main distinctive property of track membrane filters is high selectivity of filtration, which ensures high quality filtrate. This is guaranteed by special structural features of the membranes as smooth surfaces, small thickness and strictly defined sizes of cylindrical pores.
The application fields for track membranes is determined by the assured functional capability to capture at the surface particles which have dimensions above the nominal value of pore diameter. Nominal diameters for track membranes are 0.1; 0.2; 0.4; 0.6; 0.8; 1.0; 2.0; 3.0 (micron).
The membrane structure features a high uniformity of the pore size, high strength and the possibility of generation by means of membrane cleaning. The FiTreM filter, thanks to 0.4 micron (or 0.2 micron) pore size, can remove all fecal and colibacteria, giardia, cryptosporidium and cysts.
